Through our Slow Food Bucks “Veggie Voucher” Program it is our initiative to make local healthy food more accessible and affordable to low income and food-insecure members of our community. “Veggie Vouchers” are farmers market currency given out via educational programs and cooking classes by St. John’s Diabetes Foundation, One22, and Teton Literacy Center.
Vouchers and SNAP Benefits can then be redeemed for Slow Food bucks, worth double the value, for food purchases at The People’s Market, Slow Food Farm Stand, and Online Marketplace. (NOTE: During COVID, Veggie Vouchers are provided in the form of online ordering codes for the Online Marketplace.)
“Veggie Vouchers” can also be redeemed at Sweet Cheeks Meats and at Vertical Harvest.
