Slow Food in the Tetons supports good, clean, fair food through educational programming, events and initiatives. Locavore’s Night Out is a produce trade show scheduled in late April featuring the region’s diverse community of producers. The idea is to create face to face time for producers with retailers, restaurants and consumers for the summer season. All benefits raised go to support Slow Food in the Tetons programming in Teton Valley and Jackson Hole. Current programming for 2013 includes:
- People’s Market including the Iron Chef competition
- Cooking Classes
- Sustainability Workshops
- Farm to School Initiative
- Local Food Guide (encompassing Teton Valley and Jackson areas)
Every year Locavore’s Night Out has proven to be success and we look forward to next year’s 9th annual event!
